We were honored to once again work with the amazing team at Mercedes Benz and Focus Hyundai! The decision was made to hold the event at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. This spectacular venue allowed us the option of having two different dinning rooms providing each individual group with intimate bonding time. The groups then joined together in Buhler Hall for the evening’s festivities.
After booking the Museum, we proposed three different themes/inspirations that I will be posting as the “shelf inspirations” in a future blog post. In the end, the team selected “Come Together” a unique Beatles theme.
Dinner started off with a black and white theme with stripes representing the iconic photo of the 50’s. This symbolized the beginning of the Beatles’ career: conservative, perfect hair, and black and white everything! We used vinyl records as our centerpieces. (If you’re interested here is a look at the menu…)

Second course – Grilled 5oz. Striploin steak (cooked to medium) and herb & garlic marinated grilled 6oz. chicken breast with brandy & green peppercorn sauce

Third course – Decadent flourless Callebaut chocolate cake whipped cream and raspberry coulis or Classic Vanilla Creme Brulee with a caramelized sugar crust served with a biscotti
Late night snack: Golden home cut fries with sauteed Loveday mushrooms, chopped bacon, green onions, pickled jalapenos, Bothwell cheese curds, cheddar cheese, beef gravy and spicy beef chilli
After dinner, both groups made their way to Buhler Hall ready to experience the latter part of the Beatles’ career: wilder, more eccentric, full of colour, the music more out there, and everything a little more fun and loose!
We used a pucci print and acid colors with a white base for the look of the afterparty! Also utilized our great friends at Creating a Scene for this geometric white backdrop along with the crazy DJ Facade! All the furniture came from C&T Rentals and it just makes the party that much more intimate and comfortable!
