An Ode to Linens

Linens serve their purpose in multiple ways, they protect the table while hiding some of its imperfections.  Along with lighting, table cloths will have an effect on your decor’s background and in doing so, it sets the tone for your event and it’s also the biggest bang for your buck.  In short, a linen’s role at an event is pretty limited.

All of your event’s elements will come together to create the whole scene, but some of them play a part in the initial wow factor, and some become stars when you look closer at all the details.  Linens have that unique ability to be your colour pop or it can assist other items in being those accents instead.

So what happens when you take a piece and just completely turn it onto its head?  I’m not talking adding texture, that’s already in play and might possibly be the norm already.  The idea was to take that base, that display case, and make it the focal point.  Similar to how a frame can outshine the art it’s holding.

Sometimes we like to push the boundaries of what something can do.  Look outside the boxes of that cookie cutter event and of everyday life.  Take what has always been and transform its purpose entirely.  Kind of what school is meant to do with you or what new experiences can provide.  Maybe in your eyes, displaying linen in a different way, as a key element rather than a base isn’t pushing hard enough.  Well to you, I can guarantee that we’re not planning on stopping there.  More to come soon…
